4 & 5 Button Suits

To cut the long story short, 4 button and 5 button suit is a rare occasion suit of choice. This is so because 2 button and 3 button suits are more commonly worn in the office and social get-togethers for the comfort and convenience that they offer.

The 4 button suit is hardly ever worn these days although it is essentially useful for tall men because of the more natural way the suit hangs on them as compared to the 2 button and 3 button counterparts. It should be noted that not all 4 buttons are secured all the way to the top to make room for flaunting lapel and tie designs.
Concerning the 5 button suit, this design is mostly Hollywood class and stepping into a 5 button suit takes confidence and assertiveness. It is therefore expected that the wearer is aware of his own sense of style and preference when it comes to clothing. Same rule applies as with the 4 button suit in that the top button, (to push it a bit more) the second to the top button and bottom button are left unfastened to add a touch of style and offer a bit of lee way in movement and accessorizing.

For those who seek style variety, the 4 button and 5 button suits are relatively daring choices. They are worn on special social appearances like premieres, weddings and other red carpet gatherings. On these occasions, fashionable celebrities may even don the suit all buttoned up. Relatively, 4 & 5 button suits are not necessary suit basics for everyday use. These two types of designs are more appropriately referred to as “fashion suits” nowadays because they are ultimately worn in rich, stylish fabrics and modern accent to create a statement of individuality, elegance and even eccentricity.
